Counselling for low mood and depression

When everything feels flat, getting in touch with anyone can feel like too much. If you've managed to read this far, that already says something. Counselling isn't about fixing you - you aren't broken - it's about being heard, in a place where you don't have to perform.

Going at your pace

I won't push you to talk about anything before you're ready. Some sessions move; some are quiet. Both are useful. Over time, many people find that simply having an hour each week where they don't have to hold it together helps to loosen something.

We can look at what's contributed to how you're feeling - loss, exhaustion, things that happened long ago, things happening right now - and we can also sit with the fact that sometimes there isn't a tidy reason.

Common questions

What if I'm already on medication?
That's fine - many people work with both. Counselling and medication can sit alongside each other comfortably.
